Duane Kuiper's Courage and Beating the Oakland A's

Many thanks to Duane Kuiper of CSN-Bay Area for sticking it to MLB Umpire Angel Hernandez on Tuesday night about his floating strike zone in the Giants at A’s game . While Giants people were clearly upset about this during the game, they were way too classy to se
Duane Kuiper: "Angel Hernandez is not a good umpire and, in my opinion, he does not belong in the big leauges."

"Angel Hernandez is a terrible umpire. He doesn't belong up here.  MLB knows it, but they don't know how to get rid of him."

"And I think Major League Baseball knows this, they just don't know how to get rid of him."

Such a fun game tonight.  Not all wins are as fun as this one was. The Giants scored first and led the whole way.  Momentum was threatened a few times, but Matt Cain hung in there, and the bull pen backed him up at the end to get him the win.

Hunter Pence smacked one into the garden prompting a hug fest amongst Giant’s fans and securing the momentum of the game. Pence, Pablo Sandoval, Joe Panik and Brandon Crawford had two hits apiece.  Posey and Morse had one apiece. Morse seems to be creeping out of his slump. I guess it is the Pence Pants or the new shoes.

Giants and Dodgers are tied for first in the NL West. Giants have lost one less games than L.A. which gives them a .001 edge.

Thursday, Giants play Oakland at ATT Park again, and the Dodgers meet the Padres in LA.

It is much easier to love baseball when your team wins.
